What I always do when drinking/serving wine is making sure it has the right temperature. The temperature that wine is served at is well worth thinking about it. A wine served just a bit too cold or a tiny bit too warm can really lose some character, especially when considering the aroma.

If uncertain about serving temperature, always try to be rather safe than sorry and serve the wine a little too cold. A wine served in the way will soon warm up in the glass, and may release a sequence of pleasing aromas while warming up. when it really is very cold, cupping the hand around the body of the glass will encourage the wine to warm. There is no easy way, however, of cooling a wine served too warm. A solution to ensure that your wine stays at the right temperature when served is to use a single bottle wine cooler
